"Geneva" (Nike Hybrid)

Caught with a dilemma, my original air force V's were deteriorating. The air force 5 is my favorite nike shoe, released on my birth year. To handle the situation, I put an air force one sole to an air force 5 upper. Then the "Geneva" pattern was implemented on the mudguard along with 70s Motor Home/Trailer/RV stripes on the heel.

Dapper Dan

This shoe is dedicated to one of the most prominent figures in the development of custom clothing and luxury streetwear. Dapper Dan was a father to custom culture as he tailored several iconic rappers during the mid 80s to early 90s. His boutique was located on 125th street Manhattan. He took high-fashion monogram prints and used them to create unique garments.

FMF Car Show 2010 Recap

Here's a late update of my experience at this years FMF Celebrity Car Show. The event had a great atmosphere filled with a plethora of sneaker and car aficionados and of course, there were lots of WOMEN. It was quite possibly the loudest event that i've been to in a very long time. At times, i would easily say the car sound systems were louder than the actual concert.

On to the Pictures...

Hoppin' Trains

This pair is created to recognize the work of underground rap artist Tim Single and his involvement in Hip Hop Culture. He is a prominent figure in New York's Lower East Side and is well-known for his eccentric fashion style. He is a relative of the Infamous Dapper Dan and has several pieces created by him. This shoe relates to his 90s song "Hoppin' Trains" which discusses the act of bombing subway cars. For those that haven't heard anything about him, he is one of the three people in the Tommy Boy Records Logo, He has appeared at a young age on the Newcleus track "Jam On It" (Wiki Wiki Wiki Wiki...) and has a few records he released under his own name. One of his records "New York to Paris" has an unreleased recording featuring the infamous Tupac Shakur. Tim Single is a behind the scenes legend.

1 Of 1 Project: Eraserhead

Revive is currently involved with the 1 of 1 project charity auction.

"Former 3sixteen associate Chris Watchorn has been busy in his hometown of Winnipeg, Canada as he prepares the launch of his art project titled, The 1 of 1 Project. Bringing together a talented mix of artists, a blank Vans sneaker becomes the canvas for each personality. The ultimate goal was to both promote and grow the local Winnipeg creative scene alongside raising funds for The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Winnipeg. Among the participants for this notable cause include Mark Dean Veca, Phil Annand, Larry Luk as well as Watchhorn himself. The artist sneakers will be auctioned off on June 25th via eBay with more details and looks into the respective atist submissions seen over at The 1 of 1 Project website. The video seen above documents Chris Clarke and his process."

Eraserhead

This is a shoe created for the Vans Art Show. It will be raffled off and all proceeds will be going to charity. This shoe in particular was the third installment in a series devoted to my favorite horror movie directors. These Vans were created to honor the work of David Lynch in his 1976 film Eraserhead.

Stunts Blunts and Hip Hop

In honor of Diamond D's 1992 album, Stunts Blunts and Hip Hop, these shoes were created to honor rap music and its connection with the sneaker culture. The air jordan 7 bordeaux's were worn by Diamond D on the cover, the designs were added to this particular pair to reflect the aesthetics of the album.
